第114回日本医学物理学会学術大会

大会長挨拶

Dr_Monzen
Welcome Message: Dear Our Colleagues and Friends

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 8th Japan- Korea Meeting on Medical Physics in conjunction with the 114th Meeting of Japan Society of Medical Physics and the 55th Meeting of Korean Society of Medical Physics in the Osaka University, Osaka on September 15-16, 2017. We are sure that the past all seven Joint Meetings were quite successful and had made an important role to promote research activities in medical physics and offered a great opportunity of cultural exchange between two societies. This Joint Meeting under the theme of “Toward the next generation of medical physics” will provide a great opportunity to all participants to exchange interdisciplinary approaches such as imaging plus therapy and the newest techniques on Medical Physics as well as strong enhancing the friendship of Medical Physicists from the present generation to the next generation in Japan and Korea. Medical Physics in Japan and Korea is still under development. Not a few students and younger researchers are joining in this field this year. I hope these young members, as well as old ones will have good experiences by sharing the scientific knowledge and warm friendship, here in Osaka, Japan, and thus the meeting will contribute to establish “the solid/eternal partnership of JKMP”.

In addition to the academic aspects of the Congress, Osaka offers unique experiences for all the participants with its rich heritages and tradition lifestyle. Historically a merchant city, Osaka has also been known as the "nation's kitchen" (tenka no daidokoro) and served as a center for the rice trade during the EDO Period. We hope you will enjoy comfortable and unforgettable experience during your stay in this dynamic city, Osaka.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participate, government, JRS, JASTRO and industries for their interest and support to this Meeting.

Hajime Monzen Ph.D
President of 8th Japan-Korea Joint Meeting of Medical physicist

Dr_Monzen

On behalf of the Korean Society of Medical Physics, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the Japan Society of Medical Physics on hosting the 8th Japan-Korean Joint Meeting on Medical Physics in conjunction with the 114th Annual meeting of the Japan Society of Medical Physics (JSMP) and the 55th Annual Meeting of Korean Society of Medical Physics (KSMP).

Over the past 20 years JSMP and KSMP have been exchanging state-of–the-art research results and information on cutting edge technologies in medical physics through this joint meeting every three years. These meetings have proven very successful not only in promoting research in both societies but also providing opportunities to enhance understanding of the cultural similarities and differences of both countries, and thus, even promoting friendship between Japanese and Korean medical physicists. In this regard, I expect the 8th Japan-Korean Joint Meeting will be another memorable event and a great conference to exchange the latest information on medical physics and to share our vision for the future of medical physics to generation of medical physicists.

Last but not least, I would like to express my appreciation to Dr. Hidetoshi Saitoh, President of JSMP and Dr. Hajime Monzen, the Organizing committee chair and committee members for organizing and to preparing this joint meeting. My best wishes for the Osaka meeting to be a complete success.

Youngyih Han, Ph.D
President of KSMP
