WELCOMING MESSAGE

Presidentfs Message of The 6th Japan-Korean Joint Meeting on Medical Physics

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 6th Japan-Korea Joint Meeting on Medical Physics in conjunction with the 102nd Meeting of Japan Society of Medical Physics (JSMP) and the 43rd Meeting of Korean Society of Medical Physics (KSMP), which will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2011 in Fukuoka, a city of focal point for cultural exchange in Asia. Fortunately, this meeting will also integrate the 11th Asia-Oceania Congress of Medical Physics (AOCMP).

We are confident that the past five Joint Meetings were very successful and have contributed an important role to promote research activities in medical physics, while offering a great opportunity of cultural exchange between the two societies. In the 6th Meeting jointed by the 11th AOCMP, it is our intention both to foster scientific developments and to strengthen the friendship between Japanese and Korean medical physicists as well as Asia-Oceania medical physicists and physicists from other parts of the world. The scientific program of this meeting will cover all areas of medical physics, which are related to the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of disease. This meeting will feature scientific sessions for forefront researches, symposia on recent topics, and lectures by distinguished medical physicists.

In addition, a banquet and an excursion will be arranged as social programs. Finally, we would like to welcome you and your colleagues to Fukuoka this September.

Sincerely
Masahiro Endo, Ph.D.

President, The 6th Japan-Korean Joint Meeting on
